Jocelyn Robert studied pharmacy, then architecture.
Passed to art as one passes to the maquis. He published several records
(Stat Live Monitor (Recommended Record), Madness Culture (ReR) The Piano
Fuzzy (Obz), The Theory of Nerve Hollow, 20 Moment White Slow, Canned
Gods (Ohm edition), it have carry out some recording for some other artist
(Noise TTV, Michael Snow, Steve Heimbecker...), he has continued writing,
he has made some solo installations here and elsewhere, and with Diane
Landry or Emile Morin (Quebec, Montreal, St John'S, Vancouver, Victoria,
Monterey...), some performance in Quebec, in United States and in Europe,
in some festival, some conferences or on the streets, he has realised
some projects radiophonic, ans some sound pieces for theatre and videos.
He founded Avatar in 1993, a center of self-managed artists dedicated
to audio arts, in Quebec. He currently has the roles of artistic director
and president there. Actively implicated in the multidisciplinary center
Meduse.
